  Mission

The Buildings and Grounds Commission improves and maintains the parish facilities and property by keeping it inviting, safe and functional for the needs of the parish. This is accomplished by volunteers who  perform the service or cause the service to be performed by appropriate external sources.

The chairperson of the Buildings and Grounds Commission is Mike Andreucci.  Please contact him directly at 683-9978 if you wish to volunteer your help in the various projects this committee undertakes.

The members of the Buildings and Grounds Commission strive to maintain the polished look of St. Joan of Arc.  Driving down the curbed driveway you are surrounded by 13 acres of well-manicured lawns lined with trimmed trees and gardens. Walking around the grounds you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Meditation Gardens or visit deceased friends or family in the Columbarium. Your first steps inside the church are breathtaking. The floors are well maintained, the woodwork is polished, the tinted windows allow the right amount of light to filter in, the temperature is inviting, and the restrooms are clean.  The Buildings and Grounds Commission, a small group of people, maintain all of the wonderful things you see as you visit the grounds. Some with skills but many without skills.  We are looking for a few good people to help maintain St. Joan of Arc.

Can you pull weeds?

Can you put out mulch?

Can you empty thrash?

Can you sweep / mop?

Can you clean windows?

Can you dust?

Do you have a specialized skill (carpenter, electrician, HVAC)?

Do you enjoy that magical feeling of finishing a project?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you are now a qualified member of Buildings and Grounds Commission. Please contact Mike Andreucci, Chairperson, for information about volunteering your time and talent. Please feel welcome to attend the Buildings and Grounds Commission meeting every fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00. Volunteering for a single project is also an option.  Under the new and approved Parish Pastoral Plan we have several new projects projected for 2017. We are encouraging fresh ideas from new volunteers to help accomplish the goals set for the Buildings and Grounds Commission. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit we will attain a new and better future for St. Joan of Arc.
